This website belongs to Dohna Global, an exporter of Indian agricultural produce. We built it to present our products and to give trade partners a way to reach us, and it collects very little personal data as a result. This policy explains what the site does handle, why, who else is involved, and what you can ask of us.
Who we are
Dohna Global trades in rice, pulses and spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, flour, oils, starches and sweeteners, and fast-moving consumer goods, supplying business customers in Africa, Bangladesh, India, the Middle East, Singapore and other markets. Because we are established in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 is the law that primarily governs our handling of personal data. A note for visitors from Europe follows further down.
What data the site handles
Inquiry forms
The site carries contact forms that ask for your name, phone number, email address and message; one of them also offers a subject line and a dropdown for the product you are interested in. We receive only what you type. Submissions arrive as email in our info@dohnaglobal.com mailbox, which runs on Microsoft 365.
Server logs
The web server that delivers the site is operated by our hosting provider, Hostinger. Like any web server, it records access logs that include your IP address, the pages requested and the time of each request. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and running.
Spam protection
Google reCAPTCHA v3 runs on all pages of the site to keep automated spam out of our forms. To tell people from bots, Google receives your IP address and signals about how you interact with the page, and it may set a cookie named _GRECAPTCHA. Apart from that possibility, the site sets no cookies of its own during normal browsing.
Fonts and scripts
Your browser loads the site’s typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), an icon font from cdnjs.cloudflare.com and a small gallery script from unpkg.com. Fetching a file from a server necessarily discloses your IP address to the operator of that server. These requests are simply how the page is assembled in your browser; we receive nothing from them.
What we do not do
There are no analytics tools on this site, no advertising pixels and no marketing cookies. We do not track visitors across the web, we do not build profiles, and we do not sell personal data to anyone. If you browse without submitting a form, the only data connected with your visit is the technical minimum described above.
Why we use your data
We use the data described above for three purposes: to answer your inquiry, to conduct the business relationship that may follow it, and to keep the site secure and functioning. It is not used for anything else.
Who else sees your data
A small number of service providers help us run the site and our mail. Hostinger hosts the website, Microsoft provides the mailbox behind info@dohnaglobal.com, Google provides the reCAPTCHA service and the fonts, and the content delivery networks named above serve static files. Each of them processes data under its own privacy terms; for the reCAPTCHA and fonts services, Google’s privacy policy applies. Beyond that, we disclose personal data only where a law, court or authority with proper jurisdiction requires it of us.
International transfers
We are an export house, and our people work from offices in Singapore, Yangon and Jakarta as well as Mumbai. Correspondence about your inquiry may therefore be read and answered from any of those offices in the ordinary course of business. Some of the providers named above, including Microsoft and Google, are US companies, so data handled through their services may be processed on servers outside your country. Wherever your data sits, this policy governs how we treat it.
How long we keep data
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as we need it to handle the inquiry and any business relationship that follows, and we delete it when no purpose remains. Server access logs are retained by the hosting provider in the course of standard operation; we use them for nothing beyond security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us what personal data of yours we hold, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to erase it when we no longer need it, and raise a grievance about the way we have handled it. Send any of these requests to info@dohnaglobal.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time the law allows. If we do not resolve your grievance, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Visitors from the EEA and the United Kingdom
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation and its UK counterpart give you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, together with the right to complain to your local supervisory authority. We are established in India, not in Europe, but write to info@dohnaglobal.com and we will treat a request made under those rules with the same care as one made under Indian law.
Children
This site presents a business-to-business trading company and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, and nothing on the site invites them to provide it.
Changes to this policy
We will revise this policy when the site or the law changes. The current version is always the one published at this address, and the date below tells you when it last changed. If a future revision affects data you have already given us, we will say so here rather than apply it quietly.
